Database-driven website development for agencies:
In the second phase of my business, I decided to leverage my software engineering experience to add more programatic features to websites to attract larger customers with larger budgets. Many customers wanted to keep their general overall website design, but have the ability to change the specific information on their site themselves, without having to pay a webdesigner just for small updates, so I focused on creating a set of PHP/mySql database-driven programming modules which I could quickly put together to provide this kind of more programming-oriented, advanced websites for clients.
I was able to land a few larger clients and produced database-driven websites for clients like The United Way...
...and the Community Alliance Against Family Abuse...
Although these agencies were able to pay more for these more advanced site designs, they were still non-profits, so the business was still not bringing in the profit I had hoped, and I tried one final phase for my business.
